چکیده
We retrospectively evaluated the clinical course and biopsy specimens from 51 5 consecutive non-Hodgkin s lymphoma patients in an attempt to determine the clinical importance of documented changes in histology over time. Two-hundred and five of these patients had an initial diagnosis of nodular lymphoma and were reviewed for this analysis. Sixty-three underwent a repeat biopsy greater than 6 mo after initial diagnosis. In 23 patients. these repeat biopsies revealed a change in histology to a diffuse pattern and/or a change to a larger “histiocytic” cell type. while repeat biopsies for the other 40 (63%) disclosed persistence of a nodular pattern and no clear change in basic cell type. Progression from nodular lymphoma to diffuse histiocytic. mixed. or undifferentiated types of lymphomas of Rappaport was found in repeat biopsies obtained from 1 9 patients (30%). p53 mutations are associated with histologic transformation of follicular lymphoma.
The majority of low-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHL) undergo clinical progression toward intermediate- and high-grade lymphomas. This progression is often associated with histologic transformation from follicular to diffuse-type NHL. The pathogenetic mechanisms underlying this evolution are presently unknown. In this study, we have analyzed the role in NHL progression of relevant genetic les...

It comprises less than 0.2% of pancreatic malignancies and less than 0.7% of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. This lymphoma is almost never suspected clinically. It is usually diagnosed by surgical exploration for suspected adenoca...

Introduction: Malignant lymphoma is divided into two subgroups of Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's, and 40% of them occur in areas other than the lymph node, the most common being the digestive tract. According to studies, in recent years the prevalence of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas has increased over the past. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the gastrointestinal lymphoma and the survival rat...
